You will receive confirmation of the venue 2 days in advance along with a PDF of the seminar materials. This information is sent to each delegate email address (or the booking agent, if only one). For multiple bookings, please supply names and email addresses for all attendees in advance.

If attending online you will receive an email with access details the day before the event.

Please note that the Irish Tax Institute provides access to online seminars, together with supporting materials to you on the understanding that it is for your personal use only and not for distribution, display or representation to other persons or groups of persons. Payment of a single online delegate fee permits single user access only. CPD in relation to live and on demand online seminars accrues only to the delegate who has purchased the live or on demand online seminar.

You can access the recorded seminar for up to 6 months from the date of purchase.

CPD Refund Policy

Full refund for written cancellation received up to five working days prior to attendance at a CPD event, no refund will be issued thereafter. An alternative attendee can be nominated at any time up to and including the day of the event. Credit allowance is not permitted for non-attendance. There is no refund for Online CPD purchases and we advise you to read the On Demand FAQs regarding online products before purchasing.

TaxFind

Access to www.taxfind.ie is via a username (not an email address) and password. The username is your Associate, Subscriber or Student ID. If you need to reset your password please click here and follow the instructions as emailed. If you do not have a username or if you have purchased more than a single licence please email Evelyn at edelehanty@taxinstitute.ie.

eBook Purchase

eBook purchases are available in the Dashboard area of the website – My Purchased Publications.

VAT Invoice

If you have ordered a product, booked a seminar place or enrolled on a qualification, a VAT Invoice will be issued to you in due course or alternatively you may download a copy by accessing your account on the website.

eCommerce 

In accordance with SI No. 636/2023 – European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023, the Institute is required to ensure the accessibility of its eCommerce platform, as well as provide certain information regarding the accessibility of its digital products and services. 

 In the majority of cases, the Institute’s digital products and services can be purchased directly from our website https://taxinstitute.ie, on which you can find our Accessibility Statement. 

The Institute is committed to ensuring that its eCommerce platform is accessible in a consistent and adequate way by ensuring that non-exempt content is perceivable, operable, understandable and robust. 

Perceivable: 

  • Alternative descriptive text is provided for images used to convey information that is not explicitly stated in the text. 
  • Captions are included on video content and transcripts for audio content are available. 
  • Website users can resize text without losing content or functionality. 

Operable: 

  • Functionality can be accessed using a keyboard.  
  • Navigation architecture, menus and headings are consistent across the site.  

Understandable: 

  • The language used on the site is clear and consistent.  
  • The design and layout of the website is consistent to help users navigate and understand the website’s structure.  

Robust: 

The eCommerce platform is delivered through the WooCommerce plugin for WordPress which is compatible with a variety of assistive technologies. 

The Institute regularly monitors its eCommerce platform to ensure continued accessibility.  

Digital Products & Services 

eBooks

In accordance with SI No. 636/2023 – European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023, the Institute is required to ensure that all e-books provided to consumers after 28 June 2025 are accessible.  All Institute eBooks are provided in an ePub2 format and comply with EPUB Accessibility 1.1 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA Standard.

Once purchased the eBook can be downloaded directly from the Customer’s dashboard and opened using Adobe Digital Editions along with other alternative readers. Instructions on how to access a purchased eBook are made available to customers on our website and in the order confirmation email sent to customers after they purchase the eBook.  

 The ePub2 format in which the eBook is provided to customers ensures that the digital file: 

  • does not prevent assistive technology from operating properly. 
  • ensures access to the content, the navigation of the file content and layout including. dynamic layout, the provision of the structure, flexibility and choice in the presentation of the content. 
  • allows alternative renditions of the content and its interoperability with a variety of assistive technologies, in such a way that it is perceivable, understandable, operable and robust. 
  • makes them discoverable by providing information through metadata about their accessibility features, and 

The Institute does not employ digital rights management measures and thus there is no block on accessibility features. 

The Institute regularly monitors its eBooks to ensure continued accessibility. 

Seminars, Conferences & Certificates 

The Institute’s CPD programme includes Seminars, Conferences and Certificate courses, some of which can be attended in-person or accessed live online or recorded sessions can be accessed on-demand.  

 Live Webinars 

  • The format generally consists of speaker(s)’ video, audio and slide presentation. Live captioning can also be accessed during the session.  
  • Speaker(s)’ slides and papers are provided in an accessible pdf format
     

On-Demand Webinars 

  • On-demand webinars are delivered via the Panopto video platform which offers a range of accessibility features 
  • The format generally consists of speaker(s)’ video, audio and slide presentation. Captioning can also be accessed while watching the webinar.  
  • Speaker(s)’ slides and papers are provided in an accessible pdf format. 
  • On-demand webinars are accessed through the Institute’s learning management system Blackboard Learn which offers a range of accessibility features. 

In-person CPD Events 

Every effort is made to ensure that an in-person CPD event is accessible. Consideration is given to the accessibility of the physical location and additional needs can be accommodated on request. 

TaxFind 

TaxFind is a web-based tax research database. It is a subscription service which contains searchable digital formats of the Institute’s publications, seminar papers, journal articles and other additional tax-related content.  

The Institute is committed to ensuring TaxFind is accessible in a consistent and adequate way by ensuring that non-exempt content is perceivable, operable, understandable and robust. 

Perceivable: 

  • Website users can resize text without losing content or functionality. 
  • Content can be exported into pdf format or printed. 

Operable: 

  • Functionality can be accessed using a keyboard.  
  • Navigation architecture, menus and headings are consistent across the site.  

Understandable: 

  • The language used on the site is clear and consistent.  
  • The design and layout of the website is consistent to help users navigate and understand the website’s structure.  

Robust: 

  • TaxFind was developed using industry standard web technologies and well-structured code and is compatible across different browsers and assistive technologies.  

 

Qualifications 

The Institute’s Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), Tax Technician and Diploma in Tax qualification are delivered online offering students a blended learning experience by combining online lectures and tutorials with eLearning activities and other study materials.  

Learning management system 

Lectures and study materials are accessed through the Institute’s learning management system Blackboard Learn which offers a range of accessibility features to ensure that content is accessible to all students. 

 Live Lectures 

  • The format generally consists of lecturer(s)’ video, audio, slide presentations and/or on-screen worked examples. Live captioning can also be accessed during the session.  

Speaker(s)’ slides and papers are provided in an accessible pdf format
 

On-demand Lectures 

  • On-demand/recorded lectures are delivered via the Panopto video platform which offers a range of accessibility features.

 Study Materials 

  • Study materials including course manuals and books are available in hard copy, pdf and ePub formats.  
  • They are also available in a searchable web-based format on TaxFind, the Institute’s online Tax Research platform. 

 Assessments and Exams 

Students are assessed through the web-based Cirrus Assessment platform. 

The Institute is committed to ensuring, as far as practicable, that students with permanent disabilities and temporary impairments are enabled to demonstrate their knowledge in assessments and exams on an equal basis to their peers. Accessibility review and ongoing monitoring 

An accessibility review will be carried out: 

  • Before we launch any new e-commerce service or ebook format, or 
  • if we make a change to existing services. 

We will also continue to regularly check how easy our services are to use, which will us make sure they meet accessibility standards. Here are some ways we do this: 

  • Perform automated accessibility checks on taxinstitute.ie and taxfind.ie using tools such as WAVE 
  • Perform manual accessibility checks on taxinstitute.ie and taxfind.ie e.g. keyboard navigation 
  • Perform manual accessibility checks on eBooks published e.g. using assistive technologies
