General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Member Support

GDPR came into effect on 25 May 2018 and is designed to harmonise data protection laws across Europe. As a Chartered Tax Adviser have you considered the implications of GDPR for you, your employer or your firm?

The Institute has prepared Frequently Asked Questions for Chartered Tax Advisers (CTAs).

The Institute is pleased to offer two complimentary seminars that explore the GDPR issues that affect tax advisers and highlights key takeaways to help prepare CTAs. You can earn two hours CPD from each seminar.

The second seminar is a refresher seminar building on themes explored in the first seminar.

GDPR – What is Means for CTAs, Finín O’Brien, Ronan Daly Jermyn, recorded 6 September 2017

GDPR – What is Means for CTAs – General Refresher, Bryan McCarthy, Ronan Daly Jermyn, recorded 6 April 2018

In addition to the above seminars, the Irish Tax Review (Issue 4, 2017) featured an in depth article on how GDPR will affect Chartered Tax Advisers by Finín O’Brien. Bryan McCarthy also provided additional content as part of his April 2018 presentation.
