The Irish Tax Institute represents the tax profession in Ireland and internationally

With over 5,000 members in Ireland, along with the Chartered Institute of Taxation UK and The Tax Institute of Australia, we are part of the 30,000-strong international CTA network. The CTA qualification is the leading tax advisory qualification for tax professionals. The Institute is also a member of CFE Tax Advisers Europe (CFE), the European umbrella body for tax professionals.

Our members not only work in Ireland but in private practice, the public sector, and corporates in over 30 countries around the world. Tax developments and decisions at EU, OECD and international level impact on the day-to-day work of Chartered Tax Advisers (CTAs). To ensure that our members are informed and represented, the Institute places particular importance on our global alliances.

The Irish Tax Institute values its relationships with the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the OECD, with whom we engage on a regular basis, representing the voice of our members on all tax matters. Our work is further strengthened through our relationships with our sister Institutes across Europe and through our involvement in the CFE Tax Advisers Europe.

The Institute’s collaboration with many international bodies has been very much reflected in the success of our Global Tax Conferences in association with Harvard Kennedy School Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation. The Institute has held three successful conferences in 2013, 2016 and 2019.
