Our TP team consists of 4 Partners and over 60 TP experts who specialise in helping organisations develop and implement intra-group business models, comply with local and international TP rules and stay ahead of changes that impact their businesses, navigating complexity and risk. Our Transfer Pricing practice is the biggest of its kind in Ireland and is at the forefront of change in the sector. We have a strong dynamic team committed to delivering innovative solutions to our diverse client base. Our clients are varied and include leading multinationals in the technology, pharma, life sciences and financial services sectors (including aviation leasing, banking, asset management, insurance and real estate) to Irish based Plcs, start-ups and growing private companies.

What we do:

Managing TP risk remains critical as businesses and tax authorities navigate increasingly uncertain times and growing demands for more tax transparency. With this changing environment in focus, our clients expect us to have a global & local perspective and advise them on managing their TP risks and on all aspects of TP advisory from documentation and compliance to the review, design and implementation of global TP policy, business restructurings and dispute resolution.

What does this role offer?

As a Transfer Pricing Director you will lead a dynamic and diverse team of problem solvers with extensive consulting experience, contribute significantly to creating a culture of collaboration and team based learning while helping our clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution, documentation and defense.

You'll lead complex and challenging assignments while building strategic relationships with a diverse client base.

You’ll be expected to bring innovative ideas to clients while keeping abreast of the wider tax and TP policy landscape.

You will be market facing driving business development initiatives across all industries and sectors.

You’ll be expected to innovate to solve complex problems and collaborate to develop digital tools to help us maximize the client experience.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the success of a challenging, evolving and varied portfolio of clients.
  • Responsible for driving growth via business development initiatives. A successful candidate must have a proven track record of extensive market based business development activities which enable them to build their profile in the market.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with teams across the business. An ability to bring a cross functional mindset to client issues.
  • Responsible for building strong client relationships while leading European and global client projects
  • Clear desire to actively build wider pwc network relationships.
  • Play a key role in developing and executing business and market strategies to drive new account acquisition, deepen existing client relationships and bring a broad, cross functional perspective to client issues.
  • Engage in a hybrid working environment while managing client expectations, coaching and supporting others.
  • A successful candidate will be responsible for contributing significantly to our team culture which is focused on collaboration, team based learning and real time feedback, support and coaching.
  • Lead by example in an environment where innovative thinking, curiosity and a self-led approach to learning are at the forefront of everything we do. It is critical that you maintain relevance in the marketplace.
  • Coach team members and drive the team to make a difference and deliver results in a responsible, authentic and passionate manner.
  • Design and lead training initiatives for the team, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Lead our digital transformation strategy. Identify opportunities and lead the implementation and integration of technologies for the benefit of our clients. Digital innovation is a key part of our business and we challenge ourselves to embrace and leverage technology in how we provide solutions and advice to clients.
  • Set the tone in promoting risk management and compliance procedures.
  • Responsible for the financial aspects of projects including budgetary and time constraints.
  • Excellent opportunities to develop and progress by seeking further opportunities with the support of Partners.

About you – Key skills and competencies:

  • At least 10 years experience in Transfer Pricing consulting with at least 5 years of managerial experience. The ideal candidate would have experience in a mature TP market where the majority of time was spent on consulting projects.
  • Degree in accounting, economics, finance, international business, law or other relevant disciplines/areas.
  • Post-graduate degree or qualification with a strong academic record.
  • Excellent business acumen; ability to think commercially on projects and share industry insights with teams.
  • Ability to identify gaps in the market, undertake and lead business development activities.
  • Actively seeks market facing opportunities to build their profile in the market.
  • Proven track record of success in leading client and network relationships. Proven track record of being responsible for multiple complex projects within budgetary and time constraints while consistently delivering a strong level of client satisfaction.
  • Proven track record of delivering year on year profitable growth for the business.
  • Experience designing and delivering strategic initiates for the business.
  • Expert at successfully leading multiple engagements across all attributes including coaching and training, technical disciplines and financial management.
  • Exceptional technical skills and a proven track record of maintaining relevance in an evolving marketplace.
  • Ability to move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail.
  • Ambitious – demonstrate strong commitment to personal self-directed learning and development, building market profile, seeking growth and progression opportunities.
  •  Enthusiastic team player with a passion to coach, motivate and encourage others to achieve their potential. It is important to us that you recognise and reward the contribution of others and value the diversity of our team.
  • Proven ability to support the ongoing development of the team & the ability to lead our recruitment and retention strategy.
