About us

From day one, you’ll notice there is something special about working at Davy. Our success is built on nearly 100 years of forging strong relationships with our clients and developing the careers of Ireland’s future business leaders.

Established in 1926, the Davy Group sits at the heart of wealth and capital in Ireland, providing a broad range of services to high-net-worth individuals, self-directed investors, small-to-medium enterprises, credit unions, corporations, and domestic & international institutional investors.

Our culture is shaped around three values, which are at the heart of everything we do: client success, one Davy, and building a proud legacy. Sharing the same goals, we work together to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients. As part of a team of over 900, you will be encouraged to learn and to grow, both professionally and personally.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Tax Consultant to join the Financial Planning Team within Private Clients. The position would suit someone who has just completed their AITI qualification or is partly qualified and is looking to complete it.

The successful candidate will have an interest in developing a career in private client wealth management using their technical specialist expertise. You will work as part of a team of in-house financial planning experts (financial planners, pension specialists, protection specialists) with the client’s dedicated investment adviser to drive positive outcomes for existing clients and new prospects. This position will require you to use your technical expertise to highlight the tax considerations for high-net-worth individuals and families as part of the financial planning process.

The successful candidate will be interested in business development and identifying ways in which the Davy wealth management offering can be refined.

Key responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Work with the Financial Planning Team to prepare the client’s financial plan (with a particular focus on the client’s taxation and structuring concerns)
  • Work in partnership with our team of advisers to deliver a tailored financial planning solution to our clients
  • Work with our clients’ external tax and legal advisors to ensure the client’s financial planning objectives are met
  • Develop relationships with key intermediaries and professional service firms
  • Continuously innovate and enhance the service offering to ensure we are providing market leading holistic advice to clients
  • Play a central role in the promotion and marketing of the financial planning service at Davy
  • Work with Davy’s external tax advisers to achieve technical sign off for new products.
