Assistant Vice President –Tax Compliance
Applications are invited by the Dublin office of Maples Group for the position of Assistant Vice President –Tax Compliance who, unde the supervision of the Vice President, will form part of a dedicated tax compliance team and have responsibility for the tax compliance obligations of a portfolio of clients. The AVP will handle the preparation of Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE and Investment Undertaking Tax returns, while also coordinating relevant FACTA, CRS and Country-by-Country Reporting filing obligations. Verbal communication is key for the role, as the successful candidate must be able to confidently liaise with relevant parties, including; Maples & Calder, the auditors, investment managers and other transaction parties in respect of new and existing tax clients.
The role will also involve liaising with Revenue for and on behalf of clients with respect to tax returns filed. He/she will also be assisting with the preparation of client proposals, the on-boarding of new clients, billing, administration and client management. The ability to proactively monitor deadlines and client requirements, along with strong commercial awareness is key to this role. He/she should also have a desire to enhance their technical knowledge and skills.The successfulcandidate will be AITI/CTAand/or ACA/ACCA qualified, Previous VAT and/or PAYE experience is preferable, but not essential.
