Cian O’Sullivan
Tax Director, Purcell McQuillan & Dublin Senior All-Ireland Winning Footballer
Cian is a Tax Director with Purcell McQuillan having previously been part of the tax team at PwC for seven years. His main area of focus is on assisting a wide range of Irish indigenous companies with corporate tax advice and compliance. He also has considerable expertise advising business owners with their personal tax advice and compliance needs.
Prior to his career in tax, Cian studied in University College Dublin, where he obtained a BBLS (Hons) in Business and Law and a master’s degree (MAcc) in Accounting from the UCD Michael Smurfit Business School. He is a CTA and a Chartered Accountant.
Away from the office, Cian has represented the Dublin Senior Footballers since 2009 and won 7 All-Ireland titles and three All-Stars. He plays his club football with Kilmacud Crokes.
Sinead Aherne
Associate Director, KPMG & Dublin Senior Ladies All-Ireland Winning Football Captain
Sinead is a CTA and Chartered Accountant and works as an Associate Director in KPMG’s tax practice where she has been since 2010. She specialises in the provision of tax services to various industries across both domestic and international corporate tax on a range of matters including group structuring, property acquisitions/disposals, financing matters, business acquisitions/disposals and related tax matters. Sinead also advises private Irish business clients on group and shareholder related matters.
Sinead is a charity trustee/member of the Board of Directors of Beaumont Hospital Foundation, and a GOAL Ambassador.
On the sporting side, she plays her club football with St. Sylvester’s and is the current Captain of the Dublin Ladies Football team. At intercounty level she has won 4 All-Ireland’s, 13 Leinster titles and 7 All Star Awards, and the 2018 Player of the Year award on her third nomination.
Peadar Andrews
Tax Partner, EY and Irish Tax Institute Council Member
Peadar is a Tax Partner in EY Ireland. He trained with PwC and left as a Tax Manager in 2007. Peadar spent 8 years with Diageo Plc in a number of senior roles within their tax function including leading the Irish tax and transfer pricing team and a 4-year period in the London HQ as a member of the Global Tax Leadership team. During his time in London HQ, Peadar was responsible for tax across the Africa and Asia regions, while also leading the transfer pricing agenda and ensuring compliance with policy across all markets.
Peadar then spent 5 years with Bank of Ireland Plc as Head of Tax and latterly Head of Group Finance reporting to the Group CFO. During his time with Bank of Ireland Plc, Peadar led the tax team whom were responsible for the Group’s global tax affairs, managed the Regulatory Reporting remit across the Group and in his last role led the Group’s Finance function. Peadar joined EY in May 2019 and is currently leading EY’s Irish outbound Plc sector. Peadar is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a Council member of the Irish Tax Institute.
Peadar was a Dublin Senior Footballer from 1999 to 2006. He played his club football with St Brigid’s.
