Deacy Gilligan Ltd is a full service accountancy, taxation and business advisory firm based in Galway. The firm comprises an experienced and dynamic team of accountants and tax practitioners who specialise in the provision of quality professional services to our clients.
The Role
As a part qualified/recently qualified Chartered Tax Advisor you will work with senior management on a portfolio of clients across a range of industries. You will primarily deal with compliance across all tax heads including Corporation Tax, Income Tax and Value Added Tax. You will also work closely with tax management in the delivery of tax consultancy projects, dealing with Revenue Audits and you will have exposure to wide range of clients where you will ultimately develop your own relationships over time. You will also assist junior staff in their progression, while developing your own expertise and continued professional development.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have recently completed their final Chartered Tax Adviser examinations with the Irish Tax Institute, or will be advanced in this cycle, and will possess the following:
- Understanding of the role of a Chartered Tax Adviser, proven ability to carry out the role and commitment to progressing their professional career.
- Strong technical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment and ability to work within strict deadlines.
- Proficient computing skills, including experience in Microsoft applications, third party Corporation Tax and Income Tax software and the Revenue Return
- Preparation and ROS applications.
