The Institute holds ITI/Revenue Branch Network Webinars each year where members can hear updates from Revenue officials in the Collector General’s, Personal, Business and Medium Enterprises Divisions on a wide range of topical tax issues.
Almost 500 members joined the most recent ITI/Revenue Branch Network Webinar on Tuesday, 24 September 2024 to hear topical updates from Revenue. The presentations covered a wide range of issues including the compliance priorities for the divisions for 2024/2025, Enhanced Reporting Requirements (ERR), payroll reporting compliance, misclassification of employment, service delivery and future developments, Local Property Tax (LPT) compliance, VAT compliance, R&D Tax Credit claims, cooperation and timely engagement with interventions under the Compliance Intervention Framework, debt management, Pay & File and the Revenue Technical Service (RTS).

During the 2020 Branch Network Event, Revenue advised that they would be communicating with taxpayers who according to Revenue records, have tax liabilities that do not qualify for the debt warehousing arrangement for certain COVID-19 tax debts. The letters note the opportunity to include such debts in a PPA before 30 September to qualify for a 3% interest rate on outstanding liabilities and the steps to take to avail of this arrangement.
