On the evening of 25 November, we welcomed 272 newly qualified CTAs and a group of 28 Tax Technicians in our virtual annual Conferring Ceremony. There is no doubt that all of us would have preferred to be in O’Reilly Hall under the Christmas lights. Yet the Class of 2021 was celebrated from the safety of their homes, surrounded by family and friends. A safe and enjoyable way to mark their incredible achievement.
Karen Frawley, our President, congratulated the conferees, ensuring they knew just how proud they should be of their success. “It’s 21 years since I graduated, but I remember exactly how arduous and demanding the CTA programme is as well as the pride I felt in graduating. I can only imagine the determination and resilience you had to muster to stay focussed on your studies during these last 18 months. Graduating during a pandemic is a seriously impressive achievement that you should be very proud of for the rest of your lives.”
