The Irish Tax Institute represents the tax profession in Ireland and internationally
Our membership of over 6,000 is part of the international CTA network which has more than 33,000 members. Our alliances include the Chartered Institute of Taxation UK, The Tax Institute (Australia), the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong and the South African Institute of Taxation. The CTA is the leading tax advisory qualification for tax professionals around the world. The Institute is also a member of the CFE Tax Advisers Europe (CFE), the European umbrella body for tax professionals
Our members work not just in Ireland but in over 30 countries around the world where they are employed in the public sector, corporates as well as in private practice. Tax developments and decisions at EU, OECD and international level impact the day-to-day work of Chartered Tax Advisers (CTAs). Through our global alliances, we can ensure our members are kept up to date and that their interests are represented.
The Irish Tax Institute has excellent relationships with the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the OECD and through our regular engagement with these bodies, we represent the voice of our members on all tax matters. This work is reinforced by our relationships with sister Institutes across Europe and through our membership of the CFE Tax Advisers Europe.
The Institute’s collaboration with international bodies has contributed greatly to the success of our Global Tax Conferences which we co-host with the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation at the Harvard Kennedy School.
