Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) – become a tax advisory expert
The Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification is the leading tax advisory qualification in Ireland and the international gold standard in tax advice. It delivers deep tax technical knowledge and legislative expertise. Learn more about the qualification.
Starting in October 2025, the autumn course offers:
- an extended duration.
- a regular schedule of live online lectures with expert lecturers providing real-time interaction and revision.
- access to extensive suite of learning materials and TaxFind, a comprehensive online tax research database.
- recordings of all live lectures for enhanced flexibility.
Throughout the programme, you will learn how to interpret legislation, navigate transactions, and provide tax advice using all the tools available to you. Exemptions are available for various degrees and qualifications.

Diploma in Tax – refresh your tax knowledge
The 7-month Diploma in Tax is designed to meet the needs of:
- accountants and finance professionals who wish to expand their tax knowledge.
- tax professionals who want to scrub up on Irish tax legislation and practices.
- individuals who would like an overview of tax to gain a better understanding of how it affects their work, such as those starting their own business or a group treasury.
- early school leavers who have been encountering tax throughout their careers and want to build their knowledge with a diploma.

Tax Technician – learn the fundamentals
The Tax Technician qualification is an entry level programme covering a wide range of tax heads at a basic level. This practical programme is offered in a modular structure so you can work towards attaining the qualification at your own pace.
