MARK BARRETT is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) with RDJ. He has worked in tax roles in both industry and practice and has advised Irish and multinational clients on a wide range of tax matters. Mark is also a past President of the Irish Tax Institute and a member and past chairman of Main TALC. Mark is co-author of the Institute's publication, Revenue Audits and Investigations – The Professional’s Handbook.
JIM CONNOLLY is Head of Retirement Planning at AIB Private Banking. Jim held many senior positions in some very prestigious companies including PwC, Standard Life and Goodbody. He is a well-known commentator on pension issues and has held Pensioner Trustee status since 2004.

JENNIFER DINEEN is a Senior Manager in the Tax Private Client Services Team at EY Ireland. Jennifer has experience in the provision of tax advisory and tax compliance services to high net worth individuals on both personal matters and advising of family business matters. Jennifer has particular expertise with advising individuals and their families on succession planning and inter-generational transfers of wealth and residency planning. Jennifer also has experience in the area of mergers and acquisitions which includes considering the availability of reliefs such as entrepreneur relief, participation exemption and the practicalities of such a transaction. Jennifer is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland (ACA).
MARIE FLYNN is a Tax Director in PwC Private with over twenty years’ experience in UK and Irish taxation, both in practice and with HMRC. She specialises primarily in advising management teams on all aspects of share incentivisation (including share valuations) and high net worth individuals/families and partnerships on a variety of planning/structuring projects. Marie is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and has written articles and presented in Ireland and the UK on a variety of topics including management incentivisation, valuations, tax issues for non-domiciled individuals, professional partnerships and real estate. Marie is a member of the PwC European Management Shareholder Network and the PwC International Private Wealth Network. Marie is also the current Chairperson of the Irish Proshare Association. Marie is author of the Institute's publication Valuations for Tax Purposes.
JACOB GRAY is an Associate Director in the corporate team at KPMG Law. Jacob qualified as a solicitor in 2018 and joined KPMG Law in May 2022, having previously worked in the corporate department of a leading Irish law firm. Jacob has a wide range of experience in all aspects of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, shareholders matters and general corporate governance. Jacob has previously advised on the buy and sell side of a range of M&A transactions across multiple industry sectors, both domestic and international.
CONOR KENNEDY is a Barrister and Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA). Conor is a former Tax Appeals Commissioner and has presided over tax disputes valued in excess of €2.5 billion and is now with EY Law responsible for Tax Strategy and Disputes.
AILEEN KEOGAN is the Principal of Keogan Law & Tax, a Solicitor, Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), TEP and a Council member of the Irish Tax Institute. Her practice focuses on wills and estate planning for individuals and businesses, in particular as a consultant to solicitors and accountants. Aileen has written and lectured extensively in the area of estate planning, including her co-authorship of The Law & Taxation of Trusts (Keogan, Mee and Wylie, Tottels 2007) and her annual edit of the CAT section of the Law of CAT, Stamp Duty and LPT (Irish Tax Institute). She is a member of the Law Society’s Probate, Administration and Trusts committee and their representative at TALC Capital Taxes and she is a member of the STEP Ireland and STEP Europe committees.
FRANK MITCHELL, SC, is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) Fellow and practices at the Bars in Dublin and London. He is a Past President of the Irish Tax Institute.
DAVID MORAN is a Tax Partner in PwC Private. David has over 25 years’ experience working extensively with private clients in structuring and planning transactions and advising on a range of domestic and international tax issues. David’s expertise covers all personal taxes and over the years he has built up substantial Revenue experience. David worked with Bank of Ireland Private Banking and Ernst & Young prior to joining Kennelly & Twomey Limited where he was a director from 2004 to 2010. David set up Twomey Moran with Kieran Twomey in July 2010, and in 2022 joined PwC as a partner. David is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a member of the Life Insurance Association of Ireland. David has worked with the Irish Tax Institute’s Education Committee as a moderator of the Institute’s associate examinations, he is a member of the Irish Tax Institute’s Tax Policy and Technical Committee and has presented at various Irish Tax Institute seminars over the years.

ROSE TIERNEY (BA, BFP, FCA, CIOT, CTA, AITI, CTA) is a Business and Finance Professional, a Fellow (FCA) of both Chartered Accountants Ireland and Chartered Accountants England and Wales , an Associate (CTA) of both the Chartered Institute of Taxation in the UK and the Irish Tax Institute in the Republic of Ireland and is a qualified Customs Clearance and Trade Facilitator. Rose spent several years working in practice in the UK and Ireland, in small, medium and large firms. She finished the employment part of her career as a Director in EY before venturing out as sole practitioner and establishing TTax - Tierney Tax Consultancy in 2004. The practice is based on the border with offices in Monaghan and Fermanagh and is a true cross border tax practice. It is a boutique tax practice providing tax services across all heads. They provide advisory and compliance services to private clients, companies and individuals in the Republic of Ireland and the UK and act as a consultant to professional accountancy and legal practices on both sides of the border for tax and VAT queries arising within their client bases. She served as a Member of the Council of the Irish Tax Institute between 2004 and 2007, provides CPD training to accountants and tax advisers through various bodies, is actively pursuing changes to cross border employment tax legislation on this island and sits on the examining team of one of the professional institutes.
