Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a strong Qualified Tax Consultant to join our management team. Our Tax Team assists in dealing with all aspects of tax for clients including: Personal Taxation, Corporate Taxation, Capital Taxes, VAT & RCT and Property Tax Planning.

The Role

As a Tax Senior/Assistant Manager/Manager within our Corporate Tax Compliance team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the leadership and coordination of our tax projects. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the daily management of these projects, ensuring that all compliance services are delivered with the highest standard of quality. You will be instrumental in coaching and mentoring a diverse team of Junior and Senior Trainees, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support to Directors and Managers in the execution of corporate and personal tax compliance projects.
  • Take charge of the day-to-day operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Responsible for the initial training of new team members alongside developing a training manual.
  • Act as a mentor to Junior and Senior Trainees, guiding them through complex tax compliance processes.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of client portfolios, tailoring strategies to meet their specific needs.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and company standards, updating protocols as necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance overall service delivery.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities and knowledge.
  • Review and monitor trainees progress, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to bring about these changes.
  • Handle client queries and concerns with professionalism and tact.
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and advise on the implications for clients and projects.

Candidate Profile

  • CTA qualified.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong computing skills, including excel, word and tax applications.
  • Ability to work as part of a busy team and highly motivated.
  • Excellent delegation skills and ability to manage and develop junior members of the team.
  • Excellent business development and relationship management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A drive to develop and progress in a career in tax.
