About the opportunity:
Our Tax Department are looking for a Full-Time Senior Tax Associate to join our team. This role will be based in the Cork Office or Dublin Office and will report directly to the Senior Tax Manager. This full-time role will be 37.5 hours per week.
As a Senior Tax Associate, you can expect your duties to include;
- Responsibility for the preparation of returns across tax heads including income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax and capital acquisitions tax
- Assisting managers to ensure compliance deadlines are met
- Researching tax technical issues
- Working closely with Managers and Partners on tax advisory projects
- Responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with clients and advising on all relevant tax issues in a timely efficient manner
- Liaising with Revenue on our client’s behalf to seek rulings on certain tax positions
- Liaising with other departments to ensure advice and projects are successfully completed and to identify opportunities to provide to existing clients
What we are looking for:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a Practice environment
- Part qualified or newly qualified CTA
- Excellent technical skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment
- A good level of IT literacy with a track record of using MS Office and tax software
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with good initiative
