Job description
We currently have positions for office-based bookkeepers / administrators, part-time and full-time. We are seeking individuals that will complement our established team and contribute to maintaining our friendly and supportive work environment.
The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring that all bookkeeping and accounts administration functions continue to be carried out to a high standard.
Responsibilities and duties:
Office administration, bookkeeping and payroll duties, including the following:
- Assisting with front office duties including answering the phone and meeting customers
- Communicating with clients, including requesting information, paperwork and payroll details
- Day-to-day processing of transactions: sales and purchases invoices, payment runs and remittances
- Preparation of reconciliations: bank, debtors, creditors, VAT, PAYE, RCT and Payroll
- Updating of accounts packages
- Preparation of accounts schedules and summaries
- Preparation, administration and submission of payroll
- Working with and supporting senior staff.
Experience
- Preference will be given to candidates with a detailed understanding of bookkeeping, especially the preparation and submission of VAT returns and the efficient and effective operation of Payroll
- Proficiency in using Excel, Word and Outlook is a prerequisite
- Experience in using an accounts package (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero etc.) and experience in operating and maintaining a payroll package a distinct advantage
- Practice experience and or other bookkeeping/administration experience is desirable.
