We are seeking a highly motivated Tax Trainee to join our team here in OKC Chartered Accountants. The right candidate will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through daily client interactions and mentoring by an experienced team, ensuring you achieve all your training goals.
What you will be doing:
You can expect to be a key member of our team providing the following services:
- Assist in managing the compliance requirements of the firm’s corporate and income tax clients, ensuring payment and return filing deadlines are met.
- Preparation and filing of tax returns in relation to corporation tax and income tax.
- Ad-hoc input into compliance and advisory matters relating to all other tax heads including VAT, PAYE/PRSI, Capital Gains Tax, CAT, Stamp Duty, etc
- Liaising with Revenue in respect of client matters.
Who are we looking for:
- Working towards CTA / Diploma in Tax / Tax Technician
- Some experience working in tax in a practice environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Good systems and analytical skills (Excel proficiency is an advantage).
- Capability to work efficiently under time pressures.
- Previous work experience relevant to a career in tax/accountancy is an advantage.
