Editors

Dr. Patrick Mulcahy (Volume 1) is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and Chartered Accountant. He currently lectures for the Irish Tax Institute, Chartered Accountants Ireland and Dublin City University.

Laurence May (Volume 2) is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a graduate of NUI Galway, from which he holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Master of Accounting Degree. Laurence is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Laurence is Head of KPMG in Galway and is an Adjunct Professor in Accounting and Finance at NUI Galway. He has previously lectured on the CTA Part 2 programme, the Master of Accounting programme and Bachelor of Commerce programme at NUI Galway and the UCD Master of Accounting Tax Summer School programme. Laurence was also an external examiner at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and NUI Galway.

Authors

Caitriona Gaynor is the CFO of a multinational company. She previously lectured in taxation at University of Limerick, BPP Professional and the Irish Tax Institute and worked with EY in Dublin. She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Raymond Holly is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and lectures for Atlantic Technological University (ATU). He previously worked in practice with Grant Thornton and BDO and has lectured and examined extensively for the Irish Tax Institute, Chartered Accountants Ireland and for various private colleges.

Pat Kennedy has worked for 35 years in VAT with the Revenue Commissioners, in practice and industry.

Paul Murphy is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and Managing Director with Martin J. Kelly & Co. He is a member of both the Irish Tax Institute and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, is a corporation tax lecturer for the Irish Tax Institute and a speaker for a number of accountancy bodies on their professional development panels.

Margaret Sheridan is the Principal of Sheridan Tax Training & Consultancy. She is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and former Council Member of the Irish Tax Institute. She has worked in the area of taxation for over 30 years, specialising in personal and employment taxes. She lectures extensively for the Irish Tax Institute and is adjunct tax lecturer at Trinity Business School.

Martina Whyte is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and member of Chartered Accountants Ireland. Past roles include responsibility for corporate tax compliance & planning for two leading multinational manufacturers. She has lectured in taxation for the Irish Tax Institute.
