Why Tax?

Tax is a dynamic, constantly evolving industry offering a challenging and rewarding career which can place you at the heart of business and financial decision making.

Working in tax involves taking an analytical approach to solving problems and developing strategies to optimise tax efficiency. Given the continuous changes in tax rules and the unique scenarios presented by individuals and business, the work is varied and engaging.

Qualified tax professionals are in constant demand, and the skills developed while training in tax are highly sought after by businesses across all industries.

Why You?

Tax is an excellent fit for individuals with:

  • Great attention to detail
  • An inquisitive mind
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good numerical ability
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and work ethic

If you possess the above, then tax is for you.

Why KTA?

KTA is a market leading, boutique firm of experienced private client tax advisers. The firm is based just off Mespil Road in Dublin 4 and specialises in providing the highest quality tax advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and their families. Our priorities in terms of client service are accessibility, responsiveness and technical excellence communicated to clients in a simple and straightforward way.

KTA is focused on tailoring bespoke tax solutions, and the trainee role offers exposure tostimulating and interesting tax assignments to develop excellent on-the-job skills and experience, to complement the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification with the Irish Taxation Institute (ITI).

What Does it Involve?

If commencing as a trainee, the position involves tax compliance work at the outset to develop basic tax knowledge. Tax trainees are assigned a block of clients and, with the support of senior staff, are responsible for completing tax returns and ensuring that all compliance matters are kept up to date.

You will move onto advisory work as you gain experience and responsibility will increase overtime. As your skills develop you will be exposed to increasingly complex tax work and interaction with clients, government agencies and other professional services firms will increase.

We will provide you with full support as you undertake the CTA exams to include the cost of exams, and study leave. We are focused on continuous training and development, both in-house and externally, to ensure that KTA staff maintain technical excellence.
