Established over 40 years ago, JPA Brenson Lawlor is now in the Top 20 practices by size in the ROI. The firm is led by six partners and supported by over 90 staff. This year 2018/19, we made it into the Grad Ireland top 10 employers in the accountancy / professional services list and we are looking for a Tax Senior to join our team.


The role is to primarily assist in the provision and coordination of compliance services for both corporate and personal clients. There would be an expectation that the role would evolve to managing the provision of compliance services to clients and assisting with client tax planning projects.

The primary responsibilities will be:

  • Provide tax compliance services for corporate and personal clients.
  • Deal with queries from clients on all tax matters.
  • Liaising with Revenue on behalf of clients and assisting with Revenue aspect queries.
  • Liaise with audit & accounts department on tax compliance matters.
  • Manage compliance work flows in timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with reviewing the work of trainees within the department.
  • Coaching and mentoring of trainees within the department.
  • Assist with identifying tax efficient opportunities for clients.

Candidate The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • 2-3 years working in a tax department.
  • CTA qualified or part qualified
  • Proficient in the provision of compliance services.
  • A drive to develop tax knowledge and progress in a career in tax.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong computing skills, including excel, word, tax applications.
  • Ability to work as part of a busy team and highly motivated.
  • CTA qualified or part qualified
