MGM are a medium sized firm based in Limerick in business since 1972. The firm offers audit, accounting, advisory and tax advice.
We are seeking a tax director to develop and manage our tax department.
The role involves:
- Oversight of the tax compliance function
- Dealing directly with clients and partners to identify tax planning opportunities
- Designing and implementing tax efficient opportunities for clients
- Liaising with Revenue on behalf of clients and assisting with Revenue aspect queries.
- Motivating your team to perform at their best, make a difference and deliver results, while providing mentorship and guidance allowing them to stretch to their full potential.
- Dealing with consultancy issues and assisting in drafting of tax planning and consultancy reports
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- AITI or CTA qualified / part-qualified or equivalent.
- Experience of working with private clients
- An interest and ability to research relevant tax legislation, Revenue commentary and case law;
- Display technical ability with strong communication skills in explaining same to clients
Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required
- Minimum 3 years post qualification tax experience
- Excellent academic background
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong technical skills across all tax heads
- Be commercially minded
