This is a Dublin-based role, from our offices at 18 Clanwilliam Terrace, Grand Canal Quay, Dublin 2, D02 X896. However, in keeping with our policy of allowing all staff to work from home, the successful candidate will, if desired, be able to work from home for an agreed number of days per week, subject to, client requirements for in-person meetings etc.
Gara Ryan is seeking to hire a tax professional, at tax consultant level, to join our tax and business advisory practice. The role should be suitable for a part-qualified, or recently qualified AITI professional, or, alternatively, a candidate coming from another background (e.g. accountancy or law) and seeking to specialise in tax. While this is a full-time role, consideration will be given to suitable candidates seeking a part-time (say, 2 – 3 days a week) role.
Who We Are
At Gara Ryan, we design and implement tax solutions, as well as providing general business advisory services, to clients across a wide range of sectors including:-
- Irish SMEs and their shareholders, including structuring advice in relation to business disposals;
- Tax advisory services for cross-border (both inward and outward) employees, typically of MNCs;
- Inheritance Tax planning services for clients seeking to pass value in a tax efficient manner, to the next generation; and
- Advice to both Irish and overseas property investors with respect to the Irish tax implications of acquiring, holding and disposing of Irish property.
What You Will Be Doing
As a key member of the team, the tax consultant will support the firm’s principals in providing best in class services to our clients. The successful candidate will be provided with the ability to further develop their skills in the area of tax compliance including Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Capital Acquisitions Tax and VAT. The successful candidate will have real responsibilities, from day one, in the management of a busy tax compliance function. Furthermore, the successful candidate will have the opportunity of working with senior members of the team in delivering tax consultancy services.
