International Tax Accountant

Tax Management
The International Tax Accountant will report to the Senior Indirect tax lead and will be an integral part of the tax team. This position will be a member of our Indirect Tax Team which is based in Dublin working on a hybrid basis. The primary responsibilities will be the preparation of VAT returns and other associated indirect tax compliance returns for all European entities. They will also be involved with various tax accounting functions such as VAT account reconciliations. They will assist other members of the tax group in providing VAT support for the business lines, internal/external auditors and tax authorities as and when requested
Job Dimensions / Financials
The position will not manage staff. This role is hybrid working
Principal Accountabilities:
VAT Compliance - Preparation of VAT returns for European Affiliates. Assist in the providing required information for VAT audits.
Tax Accounting - Prepare VAT related account reconciliations/Record VAT entries to general ledger.
Tax Audit Support - Assist Senior Indirect Tax Lead in manging any VAT audits across the different European entities.
Process Documentation - Keep VAT processes up to date and relevant
Knowledge and Experience:
Experience/Qualifications
- VAT experience essential.
- Preferably undertaking professional examinations, e.g. CTA, IATI, CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA
- Experience of advanced Excel, Oracle, Workday or another ERP system desirable
Skills/Disposition
- Enthusiastic, independent and self-motivated person who can work independently managing competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills essential.
Proficiency in another European language (e.g. Polish, German, Spanish) would be desirable but not essential.
