JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Tax position is a permanent role. The successful candidate will be part of a large, experienced and dynamic tax team in the world's largest aviation leasing company which is listed on the NYSE. Based in Shannon, the Director, Tax will specialize in tax compliance with a particular emphasis on the application and implementation of the Pillar 2 tax rules for the AerCap group.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Vice President, Tax the main responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Review and preparation of the annual and quarterly corporate tax provisioning for the AerCap consolidated group together with the annual provisioning and return filings for single entities (foreign and Irish).
- Being a member of the Pillar 2 working group determining the application and subsequent implementation of Pillar 2. This includes keeping up to date with technical developments on Pillar 2 as they apply to the AerCap group.
- Support the digital transformation being undertaken in the business. Be motivated to become familiar with and proactively use these technologies further in our day-to-day business.
- Identify tax efficiencies and planning opportunities and work with the team on implementing these.
- Work with cross functional teams across the AerCap group with respect to projects and tax related business matters.
- Monitor developments in the changing tax landscape and ensure the AerCap group is prepared for and compliant with these developments.
- Liaise with external advisors in managing tax compliance obligations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, and COMPETENCIES
Educational/ Experience
- The Director, Tax should have at least four to six year's management experience in taxation preferably within industry/ financial services or big four firm.
- The candidate should be AITI and ACAiACCA qualified.
- Excellent understanding of current and deferred tax.
- Very strong planning, analytical, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Well organised, diligent and detail orientated.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of information systems and in particular Revenues Online Services (ROS),
- IXBRL and Alpha Tax.
