Customer Service Agent Tax

Cornmarkets Customer Service Agents are part of a team that provides a Tax Return Services to clients. The successful candidate will offer administrative support to a busy tax team and will also be the first point of contact for the customer. Customer Service Agents are primarily responsible for day to day phone cover, answering client tax queries, handling client policy administration and directing calls to Tax Advisors where necessary.

This is an entry level position within Cornmarkets Tax Return Service, one which provides an ideal opportunity to individuals looking to carve out a future in financial services. The role holder will be supported and coached to enable them to excel in terms of their own contribution, and encouraged to take on more complex tasks as they develop within the team.

Accountabilities of the Role

  • Process incoming tax return forms and supporting documentation effectively and efficiently
  • Administer day to day requirements of policy holders
  • Answer client queries within agreed timeframes and allocate client correspondence
  • Advise customers regarding membership, benefits, process & progress over the phone
  • Have a professional and empathetic approach to customer queries
  • Build familiarity with client base
  • Handle complaints and communicate decisions by presenting available solutions and options, ensuring clients are treated professionally at all times
  • Ensure information provided is correct, complete and up to date by consulting the relevant data source
  • To comply with risk control and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role
  • To maintain commercial awareness relevant to this role.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Previous customer service experience a must
  • Knowledge of risk control & regulatory environment.

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Professional writing manner
  • Ability to effectively prioritise tasks
