The Tax Department
Our Tax Department is mainly focused on Income Tax & Capital Gains Tax and our services typically include:
- Personal Tax compliance for Individuals and Company Directors.
- Personal Tax Planning.
- Employment Tax compliance & advisory.
- VAT compliance & advisory.
- Corporation Tax advisory.
- Gift & Inheritance Tax compliance for our clients and legal firms.
- Gift & Inheritance Tax Planning.
- Ad hoc consulting services.
Browne Murphy & Hughes Accountants currently have an opportunity for a graduate or a post graduate to train as an AITI Chartered Tax Adviser. The role on offer is that of a 3 year training contract with the firm. You will initially assist other members of the tax team with compliance matters while becoming familiar with our clients. As you progress you will gain more responsibility which will lead to you managing your own portfolio of clients and becoming the main contact for your clients.
You will complete the Irish Tax Institute’s CTA exams as part of your training contract.
What we offer
We will provide you with continuous training and development throughout your training contract which will complement the knowledge gained from your AITI Chartered Tax Adviser course. You will be offered full support in undertaking the Irish Tax Institute’s CTA exams.
As a trainee in our firm you will gain exposure to a broad range of clients and business scenarios.
We are looking for an individual who has an honours degree, preferably with some taxation content. The individual must have a genuine interest in a career in taxation. The candidate must have the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure during busy periods. In addition, they must have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to work within a team. They must be familiar with Microsoft Word & Excel.
